Setting up Zimbra in
Thunderbird
The guide below helps setting up Thunderbird to accept Zimbra e-mails.
1
Click on the Tools > Account settings...
button.

2
From the Account operations choose the Add account
option.

3
Add
your name, the e-mail address, and the password.

4
Click on the Next button - as a result the software will start searching for the servers, which you should abort, and click on the Manual settings
button.

5
In the appearing fields add the zimbra.different.hu
address, and in the Username field your full e-mail address, and then click on the Test again button.

6
In a few seconds the Port and SSL
values will be set automatically, after that click on the Apply button.

7
Confirm the security exception by clicking the Download certificate
button, and then clicking the Confirm security exception.

8
If everything went correctly, the account will be created, and Thunderbird will go back to the starting screen. Otherwise (eg. wrong username or password) you will be redirected to this window
where you can modify the wrong values.
